Aviation-Environmental Systems Analyst

Duties of the Position

• Participate in management and coordination of mid to large projects associated with technical support services provided for the Performance Data Analysis and Reporting System (PDARS), a system for the automatic collection, analysis and application of aviation performance measurements;
• Participate in development of airport and airspace planning and design projects;
• Participate in integrated ATAC-customer teams to develop requirements, specifications and designs for new analysis and/or reporting capabilities for PDARS and associated airport and airspace design projects;
• Integrate understanding of regional transportation planning, airport planning and aviation model design and development to provide technical support to clients using PDARS to improve operations and performance assessment and measurement;
• Develop new analysis capabilities and integrate new aviation system technologies, processes, and procedures;
• Analyze potential aviation system data sources for content, connectivity and applicability; develop and refine optimization techniques, and conduct aviation operations analyses studies;
• Apply aviation systems expertise acquired from work experience and academic coursework in modeling and transportation planning;
• Train and direct the work of junior analysts.
