ATAC is proud to announce that we were downselected by a panel of FAA safety experts to be a participant in the FAA Safety Data Transformation Challenge, which includes ten contractors chosen from a pool of 68.
The FAA Aviation Safety Transformation Challenge is an opportunity to explore existing capabilities for advanced analytics using modern AI capabilities to improve aviation safety within the industry and meet the FAA’s requirements for understanding underlying causal factors for top safety events in the National Airspace System.
This Challenge is designed to explore existing data to identify insights and develop a set of recommendations, culminating in an in-person presentation to FAA officials and aviation subject matter experts in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
We’ve submitted three technical papers: Go-Around Prediction System (GAP), Human-Interpretable AI Learning System (HAILS)-Explainable AI (XAI) System for Safety, and Automating Causal Context Discovery in Aviation Safety: An AI-Enabled Approach to Incident Analysis.
ATAC looks forward to working with the FAA and other government organizations interested in aviation safety to tailor our capabilities to their safety analytical use cases!
