ATAC is pleased to announce that the Federal Aviation Administration selected ATAC as one of three winners of the 2024 FAA Aviation Safety Data Transformation Challenge (FASDTC). This challenge asked participants to use modern AI capabilities to identify underlying causal factors for safety events in the National Airspace System (NAS), ultimately improving aviation safety. Our winning response included three technical papers:
- Human-Interpretable AI Learning System (HAILS) – Explainable AI (XAI) System for Safety
- Automating Causal Context Discovery in Aviation Safety: an AI-Enabled Approach to Incident Analysis
- Go-Around Prediction System (GAP)
