Operationally Relevant Research & Development

Since its inception in 1979, ATAC has been an innovative supplier of operationally-relevant research and development services for the U.S. Government. We pride ourselves on taking ideas from the research phase all the way to operations. We have developed and utilized best-in-class National Airspace System (NAS) data, performance measurement, analytics, fast-time simulation, human-in-the-loop simulation, environmental analysis, and Subject Matter Expert (SME) research support. Some of our more extensive research activities include multiple research and development projects in the FAA’s SE2025 Research and Mission Analysis program, leadership in NASA’s Sherlock Air Traffic Management Data Warehouse, and participation in NASA and DOD Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) programs.
